Performing Arts at Atwood
We take pride in offering a diverse range of performing arts activities, including:
- Extra-curricular clubs featuring two exceptional choirs, a drama club, and dance club.
- Individual and group instrument lessons that support a large number of children in learning: guitar, violin, clarinet, flute and recorder.
- Opportunities for community performances at various events such as festivals and celebrations.
- Whole school concerts and performances.
Additionally, being part of the Ark Schools Network grants us access to their outstanding music programme. This programme is designed to instil a lifelong appreciation for music, providing enriching experiences for all students at every skill level. Major highlights are the Ignite ensembles and Music Gala, where students have the chance to perform on a grander stage.
Furthermore, many of our students have had the privilege of participating in several prestigious performances. Over the years, they have performed at renowned venues such as the O2 Arena Young Voices, the Wembley OVO Arena, and the Royal Albert Hall. This comprehensive approach ensures that our students not only have numerous opportunities to showcase their talents but also cultivate a profound passion for the performing arts.
