Ark Atwood Girls FC travelled to North London to tour the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The girls had a brilliant experience with a super tour guide who spoke to them about the history of the game, Tottenham and how a billion-pound stadium does more for the local area than just football.
The girls toured the stadium and gained special access to two private (and extremely costly) areas that had no access for tours, while seeing player locker rooms, conference rooms, the tunnel into the stadium and standing practically on the real pitch and more. It was a fantastic experience for all girls who have worked tirelessly this year for their football development.
Earlier this week, the girls played their final match of the year. It wasn’t meant to be as they lost out to a clinical St Saviour’s side 3-1. The football played at times was a testament to their development and garnered applause from parents behind the goal. Rayanna scored the goal to bring Atwood back from 2-0 to 2-1 before a relentless Atwood went after their equaliser before being caught on the counter. A great fight back in the second half and a proud end to the season.
